Sylvester Stallone’s daughters will share the title of Miss Golden Globe for the 2017 Golden Globe Awards.
This year’s Golden Globe Awards will have an additional sparkle thank’s to Sylvester Stallone and his three beautiful daughters. Sophia (20), Sistine (18), and Scarlet (14) Stallone will share the title of Miss Golden Globe for the 2017 Golden Globes Awards ceremony.
For the first time ever in the history of Golden Globe Awards, there will not be only one, but three Miss Golden Globe. The announcement is made by Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Lorenzo Soria at a Fiji Water-sponsored HFPA bash at Catch in West Hollywood on Thursday, Nov. 10.
Miss Golden Globe is an annual title given to the daughter or son of a highly successful celebrity; giving the responsibility of carrying the statuettes and escorting the honorees on and off the stage at the Golden Globes Awards ceremony.
“The Stallone sisters will continue our time-honored tradition of handing out the statuettes at the awards ceremony,” HFPA President Lorenzo Soria said in a statement when they announced the trio-choice in November.
Previous winners of Miss Golden Globes are Laura Dern, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Dakota Johnson. The Miss Golden Globe Award is usually given to an up-and-coming celebrity kid. However, the Stallone sisters did not say they have a real future plan to follow the footsteps of their dad.
The oldest sister, Sophia, who is pursuing a degree in Art History at USC, said to US Magazine: “I don’t think any of us will be actresses. Sistine will be the model, and I could see myself being in the movies behind the scenes because I love watching my dad work — he’s the best and he lives in my house, so why not learn from him?” and the youngest Stallone sister said “I’m only in junior high, so I do not think I even know!”
Sylvester Stallone is the one who got the call from Hollywood Foreign Press Association President and announced the good news to his little girls. “He gathered us all in the living room and we kind of knew something was up, but we didn’t know what was going on. We said, ‘Oh, god, it’s bad news, who died? What’s going on?’”, said Sistine.
Last year, when their father Sylvester Stallone won the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe for reprising the iconic role of Rocky in Creed, the Stallone sisters were home with their mom Jennifer Flavin Stallone. This year, their parents are letting them take the spotlight on Golden Globes ceremony, deservedly. Moreover, their parents are very supportive of their girls. Sophia said, “I think they know we’ve grown up and we’ve been at events with them many times and we’ve watched behind the scenes how it works, and I think our parents thought we were ready and they were like, ‘We’re there for you!‘”
The next thing the sisters have to decide is what to wear at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. We believe the Stallone sisters, Sophia, Sistine and Scarlett Stallone, will look fabulous, as they always do.
